Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms
By downloading, installing, or using WriteAxe ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). The Software is provided by LXB Studio LLC ("Company", "we", "us"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software.
2. License Grant
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Software on up to three (3) machines per Pro subscription. The Free tier is provided at no cost with limited features as described on our Pricing page. You may not sublicense, sell, or distribute the Software.
3. Pro Subscription
Pro subscriptions are billed monthly ($14.99/month) or yearly ($149/year) through Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial billing periods.
4. License Keys
Each Pro subscription receives a unique license key. You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential. Sharing or distributing license keys is prohibited and may result in suspension or revocation of your license.
5. User Data
WriteAxe stores all user data locally on your machine. We do not collect, transmit, or store your documents, settings, or personal files. The only network communication initiated by the Software is: license validation (Pro users, once per 24 hours), and optional features you explicitly use (online thesaurus lookups, RSS feeds, web scraping, cloud AI providers, WordPress publishing).
6. Third-Party Services
The Software integrates with third-party services including OpenAI, Anthropic, WordPress, and various RSS/news providers. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.
7. Prohibited Uses
You may not: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software; (b) use the Software for any illegal purpose; (c) attempt to circumvent license restrictions; (d) use automated means to abuse the license validation system.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of Liability
IN NO EVENT SHALL LXB STUDIO LLC BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Software after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
